Terms of Use
Watchless helps builders capture material they are allowed to use and turn it into local working files. You remain responsible for your sources, outputs, accounts, and final decisions.
Using Watchless
You must have the right to download, record, transcribe, transform, or otherwise process every source you bring into Watchless. Do not use the product to bypass access controls, violate copyright, invade privacy, distribute unlawful material, or break a platform's terms.
You are responsible for reviewing generated transcripts, summaries, prompts, recommendations, and edits before using or publishing them.
Managed analysis and outside services
Watchless uses OpenAI to produce managed knowledge analysis. Knowledge Pack sends transcript text, limited source details, and sanitized project cards when configured. Visual Evidence also sends up to eight resized JPEG frames.
Optional GitHub setup uses a read-only GitHub App on repositories you select. GitHub connection and repository access remain subject to GitHub's terms, permissions, organization policies, and availability. You may disconnect Watchless and revoke the GitHub App installation.
Choosing a local project root authorizes Watchless to maintain a local index of Git repositories inside that root. New repositories may join that index automatically. You remain responsible for choosing appropriate roots and reviewing the connected-project list.
OpenAI, GitHub, and the other services that support delivery, billing, signing, capture, and transcription have their own availability and terms. Watchless does not guarantee that an outside service will remain available or accept a particular source.
Local Quick Capture does not use the managed analysis allowance and can remain available when the managed service is offline. Automated output can be incomplete or wrong, so you must review it before relying on it.
Purchases, allowance, and license
Prices, billing period, included updates, and service scope are shown at checkout or on the invoice. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, a Core System purchase grants one buyer a non-transferable license to activate and use Watchless on up to two Macs they control at one time for their own work. You may not resell, sublicense, publish, or distribute the app, bundled skill, license, device credential, or private download link.
The current Core System allowance includes 50 completed or provider-consumed managed analyses per UTC calendar month. Validation and authentication failures before provider work begins do not use the allowance. There are no automatic overage charges. Local Quick Captures are not counted against the managed allowance. Annual access and updates continue for the purchased term. Any renewal terms will be displayed before checkout. Taxes may be added where required.
Proof Runs and onboarding
A Proof Run is a limited service using the source and project context you provide. Custom onboarding scope, timing, deliverables, and payment schedule may be set out in a separate proposal or invoice. You are responsible for timely access to source files and accurate project information.
Availability and warranties
Watchless is provided as available. Software can contain defects, outside providers can change, and automated output can be incomplete or wrong. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Watchless disclaims implied warranties and does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, specific business results, or fitness for a particular workflow.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Watchless and its operator are not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, source-platform actions, or decisions made from generated output. Total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid for the affected Watchless product or service during the preceding 12 months. These limits do not override rights that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product and purchase flow change. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
